What time is check-in & check-out?
Check-in begins at 3:00 pm. Check-out is 11:00 am. We can store your bags for you if you arrive in Anchorage early and you room is still being prepared, or after you check out. Late check-outs are not guaranteed and may require a fee.
How do I get to Snob Hollow Inn from the Airport?
We recommend catching a taxi, Uber or Lyft from the Airport. The ride is about 15 minutes. You can also ride a city bus from the South Terminal to the Downtown Transit Center and walk the final few blocks to Snob Hollow Inn. The bus is the Route 40 bus: Spenard - Airport. How close are you to the Anchorage Depot?
Snob Hollow Inn is a five minute walk from the Anchorage Depot. If you are arriving by train, turn right out of the Depot and walk up 1st Avenue, which turns into Christensen Drive. Snob Hollow Inn will be on your left before reaching 2nd Avenue. If you are headed to the Depot after your stay with us, exit the Inn and turn right. Proceed down Christensen Drive, around the bend, and the Depot will be on your left.
Most guests choose to walk to and from the Anchorage Depot, even with luggage. If you prefer a ride, we would be happy to help you call a taxi!
Is breakfast included?
Snob Hollow Inn offers a complimentary light breakfast in our guest lounge. In addition to coffee and tea, you will find a varying selection of yogurt, instant oatmeal, snack bars, etc. A hot breakfast is not served.
Cancellation policy
Cancellations made more than 2 weeks before your check-in date, your deposit will be refunded. Cancellations within 2 weeks of your stay, up to 48 hours before 3 PM on the day of check in, your deposit will be forfeited.
If you cancel within 48 hours of 3 PM on the day of your check-in, you will be subject to a one night charge for each room on the reservation, plus a $25 charge for each additional night of the reservation.
When reservations are paid in full prior to your stay, a full refund will be given if the reservation is cancelled 30 days ahead of check-in. No refunds will be issued if the cancellation is made within 30 days of check-in.
Is there parking?
Parking is very limited and not guaranteed. If you will have a car you must request a parking pass. Parking passes are granted on a first come, first served basis. The maximum number of cars we allow is three.
Street parking around the Inn is plentiful at metered spots along 2nd Avenue, Christensen Drive, F Street, etc. The meters are free on weekdays between 6pm and 9am, weekends and holidays. Do you have an elevator?
No, stairs are required to reach all rooms at Snob Hollow Inn. The entrance is between levels, so you go down one half flight of stairs to reach the first floor, up one half flight of stairs to reach the second floor, and up one and one half flight of stairs to reach the third floor. We are available and happy to help with luggage from 8am to 8pm.
We have two rooms in the building adjacent to Snob Hollow Inn: the Bungalow and the Apartment. These rooms also require stairs.
Can I store my luggage with you?
Yes, we can store luggage if you arrive before check-in time or if you need a place to keep your bags after check-out time. Our luggage storage area is on the first floor.
Can I do my laundry?
No, we do not have guest laundry facilities at Snob Hollow Inn. We recommend Dondees Laundry in Midtown Anchorage; they have a laundromat and also offer pickup and delivery service in Anchorage.
If you are staying in the Tikahtnu Penthouse or the Bungalow, your room has a washer and dryer which you are welcome to use. We provide basic laundry supplies in those rooms.
Can I drink the tap water in Anchorage?
Yes.
